But 600 years back it actually was one of the largest & most strong states in Europe.

Being ruined by the Mongols, Russia got fertile dirt for Lithuanian growth. Through dynastic marriages, armed forces strategies, and outright annexation, Lithuania subjugated huge swathes with the variegated Russian principalities – to such an extent which endangered Moscow’s reputation since the center of Russian unification.
